Fix a wrong invoice with a credit note
An issued invoice cannot be edited. Cancel it, or take part of it back with a credit note.

Add a late fee or a discount for paying early before you issue. Split what is owed into instalments afterwards.
Projects, purchase orders and retainers
Invoice one job in stages, and keep track of what is left on a customer’s purchase order.

Reports and tax
Your sales and the tax on them for any period, with a file to download for your accountant.
- Open Reports.
- Choose the period: this month, last month, this quarter or the year.
- Read the totals: invoices, net sales, tax charged and tax due. Below, sales are grouped by tax rate.
- Choose “Sales register CSV” to download the list for a spreadsheet or your accountant.
- Openn Invoice does not file your return. Check the figures before you file.
Your brand, ways to pay and other Settings
Where your business details, ways to pay, logo, reminders and invoice numbers are set.
- Open Settings. Changes apply to new invoices only; invoices you already issued stay as they are.
- Business: your name, address, country and tax number.
- Getting paid: add your bank details or payment link and switch on the ones to show on invoices.
- Invoice defaults: payment terms, your usual note and terms, and document numbers.
- Logo and look: upload your logo and signature, pick a colour and one of three designs.
- Reminders: the days Home lists who to remind. Late fees: the late fee and early-payment discount new invoices start with.
- Use “Your data” to download everything at any time.
