Who it is for

What lawyers invoice for.

For lawyers who practise alone and for small law firms. You bill by the hour, by the matter or on a monthly retainer, and you often pay court and filing fees for the client first.

  • Fixed fees for a matter

Send the fee as a quote. When the client accepts it on the link, turn it into an invoice in one click.

  • Monthly retainers

On Pro, a recurring invoice is made on the same date each month with the same lines, ready for you to send.

  • Hourly work

Enter the hours as the quantity and your hourly rate as the price. The tax and the total are worked out for you.

  • Court, filing and other costs you paid

Add them as their own lines with the right tax, so the client sees your fee and the costs apart.

  • An advance before work starts

Invoice the advance on its own, or record it as a part payment so the invoice shows what is still due.

Getting paid

  1. Send it yourself

Share the invoice from your own email or any app on your phone. The track turns to Viewed when your customer opens it.

  2. Your customer sees how to pay

Each customer gets a page with what they owe and your account number and Routing number, as they are on the invoice.

  3. Match it from your statement

On Pro, upload your bank statement. Dates written like 10/05/2026 are read correctly, and you match each payment in one click.

FAQ

Questions from lawyers.

Can I bill one client for several matters?

Yes. Send one invoice for each matter and say which matter it is in the lines or the notes. The client’s page lists them all with what is unpaid.

Does it track my hours?

No. It is invoicing. Keep time where you keep it now and enter the hours as the quantity.

Does it keep client money or trust accounts?

No. It makes invoices, quotes and credit notes and tracks what clients have paid you. Client money is kept in your own accounts and records.

Can my associates raise invoices too?

Team covers 3 people and Business 10, each with a sign-in and a role.
